Doctoral Candidate in Coding Theory for Quantum Technology
The Algebra and Discrete Mathematics Research Group in the Department of Mathematics and Systems Analysis https://math.aalto.fi/en/ is looking for a doctoral candidate in the area of coding theory and its applications to quantum technology to work under the supervision of Prof. Camilla Hollanti.
Preference will be given to candidates with strong knowledge in linear algebra and coding theory. Programming skills and experience in quantum information theory will be greatly valued, but are not mandatory. An excellent command of English is required.
The approximate timescale for completing the doctoral degree is 4 years. The new doctoral student will start in September 2019, or as soon as possible after that. The maximum funding period is 4 years. The initial salary is €2509 and the contract includes occupational health care and social security benefits.
