The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Université Laval, aims to fill a tenure-track professor position in the field of industrial engineering – industry 4.0. The Department of Mechanical Engineering is composed of 24 professors supervising over 600 undergraduate students and over a hundred graduate students. The Department offers various programs of study, including an undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering, an undergraduate program in Industrial Engineering as well as many graduate programs.
The chosen candidate will have to develop research activities in the field of Industrial Engineering – Industry 4.0. The Department of Mechanical Engineering hosts a Canada Research Chair in Operations Research in Natural Resources, as well as the FORAC Research Consortium, working in the field of the integrated management of the value chain, the collaborative business planning, the management mechanisms for demand and revenues in the forest products industry. Some of our faculties are also active members of the Interuniversity Research Centre on Enterprise Networks, Logistics and Transportation (CIRRELT). The candidate must possess a strong research expertise in Industrial Engineering – Industry 4.0, as well as relevant experience in teaching. The candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise graduate students and carry out sponsored or contractual research.
