The Information management institute, from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Neuchâtel, is opening a PhD position in Computer Science (75%), starting from June 1^st 2021 or upon agreement.  

The PhD position is funded in the framework of Swiss Learning Health System (2021-2024), a collaborative project between ten academic partner institutions (Universities of Basel, Lucerne, Lugano, Neuchatel, St. Gallen and Zurich, Applied Sciences Universities of Bern and Zurich, University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland, and Unisanté Lausanne). The SLHS aims to build scientific capacity and bridge research, policy and practice by means of structured dialogues between different stakeholders. This is intended to foster the development and continuous integration of research-based solutions to current and future challenges in the health system.

Your duties

• Conduct research for a PhD thesis on a topic related to the Institute's fields of competence: data science and knowledge representation
• Contribute to the development and implementation of SLHS core tasks: policy briefs and stakeholder dialogs

Your profile

• Master degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research; or an equivalent title
• Proven interest for research, strong analytical skills, capacity to work independently but also as a team member, good scientific writing skills
• Good knowledge of French and English
