Department of Biomedical Sciences, University of Lausanne, Switzerland
A postdoctoral position is available at the newly created Department of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) starting April 1, 2020, for a project supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation focusing on the molecular mechanisms mediating cardiac diseases. The research interests of our laboratory are focused on the molecular and pathophysiological mechanisms promoting cardiac dysfunction. Toward this end we are investigating the function of multifunctional signaling complexes regulating pathological responses in cardiac cells and we aim at developing molecular strategies targeting these complexes as a primary mean to prevent heart failure.
You will be taking advantage of mouse pathophysiological models, genetically engineered mice, state the art proteomic, molecular biology, imaging and cell biology techniques to characterize the role of newly identified signal transduction complexes in regulating genomic responses that contribute to heart failure.
We are seeking highly motivated and self-driven individuals with a PhD or MD/PhD, with a strong expertise in cardiac and cellular biology techniques, capable of working collaboratively in a research team of international researchers. Excellent English writing skills, communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to effectively managing own time and prioritize research goals are also required.
We offer you:
A dynamic, stimulating, interdisciplinary research environment, state-of-the-art technologies, cutting-edge core facilities, and attractive employment conditions.
Candidates are encouraged to send their curriculum vitae, a motivation letter, and names and E-mail addresses of three referees to:
Prof. Dario Diviani by E-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org
